The Essex Young Farmers Show, a standout event in the agricultural calendar, returned to Boyton Hall in Roxwell on Sunday 17 May 2026.

Drawing an excellent crowd, this much-loved agricultural show brought together farmers, industry enthusiasts, and families from across the region for a memorable celebration of rural life.

Our specialist Agriculture Team was once again out in full force, welcoming visitors to our marquee throughout the day. Guests enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of refreshments on offer, including bacon rolls, pastries, and Pimm’s.

The show delivered a packed programme of entertainment, featuring a wide range of exciting ring attractions. Highlights included Vintage Tractors and Steam Display, the high-energy Extreme Bike Battle, Knights of Albion Jousting, Chris Meacham’s Ferrets, and the ever-popular Dog and Duck Show, alongside many other impressive performances.

Once again, Farming Through The Year was back, with crowds enthusiastically cheering on the much-loved lawn mower racing.

Visitors also had the chance to explore over 100 trade stands, alongside a variety of rural crafts and food stalls. Fairground rides and the eagerly contested tug-of-war competition further added to the day’s appeal, ensuring something for all ages.

Caroline Peters,  Head of our Agriculture Team, commented: “The Essex Young Farmers Show is a staple event in the farming calendar, and we are incredibly proud to be a part of it. Congratulations to the event organisers on another brilliant show, and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year.”
