We are proud to show our support to the Herd In The City project, presented by Havens Hospices in partnership with Wild in Art.
Herd In The City is an exciting art trail and cultural event which will see both giant and baby elephants displayed throughout Southend-on-Sea, Shoebury and Leigh-on-Sea during the summer of 2023. The creative talents of Essex artists, schools and community groups will transform the elephant sculptures into amazing works of art, all in support of Havens Hospices, a much-loved local charity. For more details visit havenshospices.org.uk .
We are delighted to sponsor the Herd In The City art trail through two initiatives. As well as adopting and sponsoring our very own large elephant, the Rickard Luckin Education Team is very proud to be the project’s Learning Partner, sponsoring the Learning Programme which invites schools, colleges and community groups to take part in the fun, and adopt and design their own baby elephant sculpture. Read more about our sponsorship in Havens Hospices’ recent press release .
The art trail goes live in July 2023 with a downloadable app available to assist with tracking down the drove of elephants across Southend-on-Sea. All the uniquely designed elephants on the trail will then be auctioned to raise significant funds to support the charity.
We are proud and excited to be involved in an initiative that complements our ethos and values at Rickard Luckin. There is no doubt that the project will have a very positive impact on inspiring and motivating our young people, all while supporting the vital charity work of Havens Hospices.
The deadline for signing up for the Learning Programme is 5:00pm on Friday 25 November 2022. For further information about how to get involved visit herdinthe.city or email email@example.com
