Three members of Ruckin Luckin teamed up with Barclays to take on Southend business professionals in this year's Play on the pitch event in support of Havens Hospices.
The Play on the Pitch charity football event marked its 10th anniversary on Thursday 2 May 2024. Rickard Luckin fielded three members for the Barclays team, who competed against Southend business professionals.
Rickard Luckin team members Jamie Nice , Dean McCormack , and James Norcott helped Barclays to secure a thrilling 3-1 victory against Southend business professionals in a highly competitive match at Roots Hall Stadium, home of Southend United Football Club.
The event was a great success, with networking opportunities before the game, a children's penalty shoot-out at halftime, and a successful charity auction and raffle following the match.
Play on the Pitch 2024 achieved a fundraising total of £19,539.78, the highest in the event's history. Thanks to Barclays' generous matching of donations, the contribution to Havens Hospices will nearly reach £40,000!
